How to take Oral Semaglutide
Semaglutide Sublingual Suspension
Step 01
How to Take this Medication

Use this medication as prescribed. Typical administration is to place the indicated volume under the tongue and allow it to absorb there for a minimum of 90 seconds then swallow – allowing it to sit under the tongue for up to 5 minutes or longer could be more ideal. Prolonged contact time with sublingual (under the tongue) mucosa may enhance drug absorption.

Step 02
Prepare the bottle
*Before oral administration, DO NOT vigorously shake the bottle.
  • Grip the vial securely with one hand. Make sure the cap is securely in place to avoid spills.
  • Gently invert the vial 10 times to ensure the suspension is mixed thoroughly.
  • Carefully return the vial to an upright position once mixing is complete.
Step 03
Draw the medication
  • Remove the cap and insert the medicine dropper into the vial.
  • Squeeze the bulb on the medicine dropper and carefully draw out the appropriate dose into the medicine dropper from the vial just below the measurement line, watching out for any air bubbles.
Step 04
Administer the dose
  • Carefully remove the medicine dropper from the vial and place the dropper under your tongue and gently squeeze the bulb to release the medication.
  • Allow the medication to absorb for a minimum of 90 seconds then swallow.
Take at least 30 minutes away from any food or drinks or brushing of teeth.
Missed Dose

If a dose is missed, do not take an additional dose to compensate. Go on to the next scheduled dose and move forward accordingly. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
