Paulichia Collamer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep passion for the intersection of mental health and hormone balance. With three years of experience in clinical practice, she specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, navigate life’s challenges, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.Paulichia earned her undergraduate degree from Tarleton State University and her graduate degree from Texas State University. Throughout her career, she has witnessed firsthand how hormonal imbalances contribute to anxiety, depression, brain fog, fatigue, and mood swings. Her personal and professional experiences have reinforced her belief in the power of holistic approaches—incorporating nutrition, lifestyle changes, and medical interventions—to optimize mental well-being.Aligned with Thrivelab’s mission of “helping good humans thrive,” Paulichia fosters self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and personal growth in her patients. She encourages self-care and self-compassion, believing that prioritizing one’s well-being allows for stronger relationships, families, and communities. Outside of her work, Paulichia prioritizes rest and rejuvenation, considering sleep a cornerstone of well-being. She enjoys cooking, listening to true crime podcasts, planning her next trip or massage appointment, and maintaining an active lifestyle. Why are you passionate about hormone health?

As a mental health therapist, my passion for hormone health stems from the deep connection between hormonal balance and mental well-being. Hormones such as cortisol, estrogen, testosterone, thyroid hormones, and insulin play crucial roles in mood regulation, stress response, energy levels, and cognitive function. I have seen firsthand how hormonal imbalances contribute to anxiety, depression, brain fog, fatigue, and mood swings in my clients. I have experienced personal benefits of addressing these imbalances through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and medical interventions, leading to improved mental health outcomes.Q6. Promoting compassion and self-care by encouraging individuals to practice self-compassion and prioritize their well-being, reinforcing the idea that taking care of oneself allows for greater contributions to others. My work enhances communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, strengthening families, friendships and communities.

"Afraid? Then do it afraid" is an inspiration quote that has guided me as a practitioner. It encourages me to live my life freely and unapologetically which thus encourages my clients to live their life as they desire without doubt and insecurities being a barrier to live how they desire.

What do you love to do when you’re not helping patients? List any hobbies or activities you enjoy.

When I'm not helping patients, I love napping! I'm very serious about my rest, rejuvenation and sleep and prioritize it. I love cooking, listening to True crime podcasts and planning my next trip or massage appointment. I also love working out and budgeting my finances- the other fun adult tasks.
